What to Know About Women’s Basketball Today

1. Unrivaled Reveals All Eight Teams 📋

Are you team Breeze or Hootie Hoo? We finally know who's playing with whom in Unrivaled's third season. The league revealed all eight club rosters Wednesday, with Paige Bueckers returning to Breeze BC, Olivia Miles joining Hive BC, and Finals MVP Gabby Williams heading to Laces BC.

WHY IT MATTERS: A lot of Unrivaled fans pick their team based on where their favorite player lands, so now it's time to choose who you're cheering for. The league also switched things up this year, revealing every roster at once instead of holding a draft like it did in the first two seasons.

2. The Big Ten Takes the Early Lead 📊

In a conference dominance shake-up, the Big Ten sits atop ESPN's early college basketball conference power rankings, with 13 teams projected to make the NCAA tournament. That's three more than the SEC, which has 10 projected bids. (ESPN)

WHY IT MATTERS: We're used to seeing the SEC lead the conversation in women's college basketball, but after last season’s win by UCLA, the Big Ten is showing just how deep it's become. These are early projections, of course, and only the games ahead will tell us which teams really deserve a tournament spot.

3. 400,000 Fans Celebrate the Valkyries 💜🖤

Make it Ballhalla, but outside. About 400,000 fans lined San Francisco's Embarcadero on Wednesday to celebrate the Golden State Valkyries and their first WNBA championship. (SF Gate)

WHY IT MATTERS: This parade happened in the middle of a Wednesday, but neither work nor school stopped hundreds of thousands from showing up. It's a pretty amazing picture of how much these WNBA teams mean to their fans.
