Good morning! ☕️

The regular season for Power 4 college hoops wrapped up over the weekend, which means conference tournament week is officially here. March hoops has arrived.

What to Know About Women’s Basketball Today

1. Unrivaled Semifinals Take Over Brooklyn 🗽

Vinyl BC and Breeze BC survived the first round of playoffs. Now just four teams remain. Instead of heading back to their usual 1,000-seat setup near Miami, Unrivaled is bringing the semifinals to the 17,000+ seat Barclays Center in Brooklyn, home of the New York Liberty. Both games air back-to-back tonight on TNT, truTV, and HBO Max. (Unrivaled)

  • Vinyl BC vs Phantom BC at 7:30pm ET

  • Breeze BC vs Mist BC at 8:45pm ET

WHY IT MATTERS: Earlier this season, Unrivaled tested the road in Philly and proved there’s real appetite for this league and women’s basketball, even in a city without a WNBA team. Brooklyn is a different kind of test. This market already supports a thriving franchise. And tonight, it’s win-or-go-home. If Unrivaled can draw a crowd at Barclays with elimination games on the line, that’s a statement about where this league is headed.

2. Odyssey Sims Gets Her Crown 👑

Odyssey Sims won the Athletes Unlimited championship on Sunday after finishing second in each of the past two seasons. (Athletes Unlimited)

WHY IT MATTERS: Sims has been part of AU since it launched in 2022, and she’s gotten better every year. Her persistence and growth paid off with a championship. She’s also a 12-year WNBA veteran who’s had to fight for her roster spot, playing for six different teams over her career. Add this title to her strong finish with the Indiana Fever last season, and she’s making a very real case for a roster spot in 2026.

3. All-Unrivaled Teams Announced ⭐

With the Unrivaled season wrapping up, the end-of-season awards are rolling in. The league revealed its First and Second All-Unrivaled Teams for 2026. (Yahoo Sports)

First Team

Second Team

Paige Bueckers

Brittney Sykes

Kelsey Plum

Aliyah Boston

Chelsea Gray

Allisha Gray

WHY IT MATTERS: These honors come largely from inside the league. Players made up 40% of the vote, coaches 35%, and media 25%. That means this recognition is coming from peers who see these matchups up close and know exactly how tough they are.

It’s also Chelsea Gray’s second First Team selection. For everyone else on the list, it’s their first All-Unrivaled nod.
