Good morning! ☕️
Before we get into today’s stories, I wanted to share a quick update. I’ve been working on something new for women’s basketball fans who want to feel a little closer to the game. It’s almost ready, and I can’t wait to share more soon. - Kim
What to Know About Women’s Basketball Today
1. The Draft Invite List Is Set 🎟️
The WNBA has invited 15 top prospects to attend the 2026 Draft in New York City on Monday, including Lauren Betts, Azzi Fudd, Raven Johnson, and Olivia Miles. (WNBA)
WHY IT MATTERS: The draft is almost here, and this list usually gives a pretty good sense of who’s expected to go early. There’s a lot of familiar names in this group. Five players from national champion UCLA made the cut, along with three from South Carolina and two from TCU, plus a pair of international prospects. With 45 total picks across three rounds, this is just the top layer of a larger class that’s likely to hear their name called.

2. Jackie Young and A’ja Wilson To Hit the Million-Dollar Mark 💰
The Las Vegas Aces are expected to bring back All-Star guard Jackie Young on a one-year deal worth $1.19 million, which would make her and teammate A’ja Wilson the first players in WNBA history to reach the $1 million salary milestone. The Aces verbally committed last week to signing Wilson to a max contract. Official signings open Friday. (ESPN)
WHY IT MATTERS: Not long ago, a million-dollar contract in the WNBA felt out of reach. Young made $252,450 last season. Wilson made $200,000. Now they’re crossing into a new era of player earnings. And it feels fitting. Both have been core pieces of the Aces’ dynasty, winning three titles in four years. The game is growing, and the players are finally starting to see that growth reflected in what they earn.

3. Sabrina’s Next Shoe Is On the Way 👟
Nike officially unveiled the Sabrina 4, the latest signature shoe from Sabrina Ionescu, set to release in July 2026. (Complex)
WHY IT MATTERS: Sabrina’s line has become one of the most worn basketball shoes across all levels, including the NBA. This version introduces new performance tech, including a TPU FlyPlate designed for explosiveness and Aero-FIT cooling. It’s another step forward for Sabrina and a sign of how much women’s basketball continues to show up in the sneaker world.
