What to Know About Women’s Basketball Today
1. Seven Cities Are in the Running for the Women’s Final Four 🏀
The NCAA has named seven finalist cities to host the Women’s Final Four from 2032 through 2036: Detroit, Indianapolis, Las Vegas, Minneapolis, New Orleans, Phoenix and San Antonio. (NCAA)
WHY IT MATTERS: Five cities have hosted before, while Detroit and Las Vegas would be first-timers. Hosting can bring a welcome boost to local businesses, so it's encouraging to see more cities interested in bringing the tournament to town. The NCAA will choose the final host cities in July 2027.

2. WNBA Stars Are Heading to Singapore 🌏
The first women’s Basketball Without Borders Next Up camp will bring 80 high-school-age prospects to Singapore from November 18–21. WNBA players including Chelsea Gray, Brittney Griner and Jordin Canada will help lead the camp, along with coaches and other basketball staff. (FIBA)
WHY IT MATTERS: These young players will get to learn directly from some of the best in the game, while coaches get a closer look at talent that might otherwise be overlooked. The camp also gives the WNBA a chance to reach new fans across Asia and help grow the game internationally.

3. Finals Game 4 Sets a Viewership Record 📺
Saturday’s Game 4 between the Valkyries and Dream was the most-watched WNBA Finals Game 4 on record. It averaged 1.9 million viewers on NBC and Peacock and peaked at 2.5 million. (USA Today)
WHY IT MATTERS: That's a 32% increase over last year's Game 4, when the Las Vegas Aces swept the Phoenix Mercury. Even with Saturday's early afternoon start, fans tuned in. Airing the game on NBC, a channel available in most households, likely helped bring in more viewers. It's a good example of something fans have been saying for years: Make the games easy to watch, and people will show up.
