WHY IT MATTERS: The league previously said March 10 was the deadline needed to keep the season on schedule, so Tuesday’s lengthy meeting came right up against that timeline. We still don’t know the outcome yet, as of writing this. But a marathon negotiation session like this usually means both sides are actively working through details and trying to reach an agreement.
