WHY IT MATTERS: This tournament is a quick but intense test for the Americans, with five games scheduled over six days. The roster features 12 WNBA stars and is led by Duke head coach Kara Lawson.

Caitlin Clark returns to the court after missing most of last WNBA season with injury and will make her senior national team debut. She’ll be joined by stars like Paige Bueckers, Angel Reese, Kelsey Plum, and Jackie Young, making this an exciting and new Team USA group.

2. WNBA and Players’ Union Negotiate Late Into the Night 🥱

The WNBA and the players’ union met Tuesday evening at a midtown Manhattan hotel to continue negotiations on a new Collective Bargaining Agreement. The meeting stretched well past midnight and into early Wednesday morning. (Front Office Sports)

WHY IT MATTERS: The league previously said March 10 was the deadline needed to keep the season on schedule, so Tuesday’s lengthy meeting came right up against that timeline. We still don’t know the outcome yet, as of writing this. But a marathon negotiation session like this usually means both sides are actively working through details and trying to reach an agreement.

3. Unrivaled Shares Season 2 Numbers 📊

Unrivaled released its Season 2 numbers, showing strong growth across the league even though TV viewership dipped slightly compared to last year. (Unrivaled)

WHY IT MATTERS: The 3-on-3 league reported $45 million in revenue and reached more than 1.2 billion fans across its digital platforms. Attendance also jumped, with record sellout crowds in Philadelphia and New York.

Off the court, the business momentum is building too. Merch sales jumped 130% and the five top-selling jerseys were Paige Bueckers, Chelsea Gray, Kelsey Plum, Natasha Cloud, and Jackie Young.
