Nneka Ogwumike became the Los Angeles Sparks' all-time leading scorer on Friday, passing Lisa Leslie for the top spot in franchise history. She finished with 18 points and 12 rebounds, although the Sparks fell to the Chicago Sky. After this weekend, she now has 6,298 points and counting with the Sparks. (USA Today)

Team USA defeated Spain 82-73 to win the FIBA Women's U17 World Cup, closing the game on an 11-0 run over the final 4:34. The Americans finished a perfect 7-0 in Brno, Czechia, to capture the gold medal. (USA Basketball)
