What to Know About Women’s Basketball Today

1. UCLA Extends Cori Close Through 2030 🏆

The Bruins want more of the same. UCLA signed head coach Cori Close to a four-year extension. (UCLA Bruins)

WHY IT MATTERS: This is well earned for one of the most respected coaches in basketball. Close has a 358-144 record in 15 seasons at UCLA, along with 10 NCAA Tournament appearances, back-to-back Final Four trips in 2025 and 2026, and the 2026 national championship. She is also the only head coach in program history with 300+ career wins. While the Bruins saw a record six players drafted to the WNBA last month, this extension gives the program stability and continuity.

2. Caitlin Clark Reaches Another Milestone 📈

She’s done it again. Caitlin Clark broke another WNBA record, becoming the fastest player in WNBA history to reach 1,000 points, 250 assists, and 250 rebounds. She hit the mark in just 54 career games, passing Diana Taurasi’s previous record of 62 games. (Yahoo Sports)

WHY IT MATTERS: Any time your name is next to Diana Taurasi’s in the record books, it means something. Clark continues to put up numbers at a pace we really have not seen before, and she’s doing it while carrying one of the league’s biggest spotlights. The Fever are hoping those individual milestones keep turning into team success as well.

3. Azzi Fudd Misses Game With Knee Issue 👀

Say it ain’t so. No. 1 overall pick Azzi Fudd missed the Dallas Wings’ second game of the season due to a right knee issue. Details about the severity of the injury are still unclear, and it’s not yet known exactly when it happened. (USA Today)

WHY IT MATTERS: This is tough to see this early in Fudd’s rookie season, especially given her injury history. She has already torn the ACL in her right knee twice, once in high school and again at UConn in 2023. Dallas staff and fans will be watching her progress closely and hoping for the the best.

Six mature-friendly shades. One mascara that actually stays put.

Most mascaras promise length… then leave you with smudges, flakes, and clumps by lunchtime.

That’s why so many 50+ women are switching to PrimeLash.

It’s a tubing mascara designed for your lashes, wrapping each one to lift, define, and separate...even the ones that might be too small to see.

And when it’s time to take PrimeLash off? It slides right off with warm water. No rubbing or irritation.

From everyday black to soft brown, plus bold shades like Emerald, Burgundy, and Mulberry… there’s a color for every kind of day.

Get longer-looking lashes with zero smudge. Finally.
