What to Know About Women’s Basketball Today
1. NCAA Tournament Expansion Basically A Done Deal 🤝
The NCAA is moving toward expanding both the men’s and women’s tournaments to 76 teams, with a final decision expected in the coming weeks. If approved, which now feels very likely, the new format could start as soon as next season. (ESPN)
WHY IT MATTERS: This has been in motion for a while, and now it feels like a reality. Power 4 conferences have been pushing for more at-large bids, and this format would add eight right away. That likely means more tournament spots for those elite conferences.

2. Team USA Sets 3x3 Women’s Series Roster 🇺🇸
USA Basketball announced its four-player roster for the 2026 3x3 Women’s Series, featuring Joyce Edwards (South Carolina), MiLaysia Fulwiley (LSU), Mikaylah Williams (LSU), and Sahara Williams (Oklahoma). (USA Basketball)
WHY IT MATTERS: With the 3×3 Women’s Series overlapping the WNBA season, this is a valuable opportunity for development. These top college players get senior national team experience and Team USA continues to build depth in the 3x3 format. With the Olympics in mind after a disappointing 2024 result, this is part of a bigger push to get back on top.

3. Toronto and Portland Make Their Debuts Today 🎉
Today’s the day. The Toronto Tempo and Portland Fire both play their first preseason games, marking the on-court debut for both of this year’s WNBA expansion franchises. (Oregon Live)
📺 Toronto hosts Connecticut at 1 PM ET, while Portland tips off in Seattle at 4 PM ET. Both games are available on WNBA League Pass.
WHY IT MATTERS: There are a few bumps already, with Portland dealing with early injuries, but that doesn’t take away from the moment. Expansion is one of the biggest stories in the league right now, and this is the first glimpse for fans and opposing teams of what’s in store for these franchises.

Six mature-friendly shades. One mascara that actually stays put.
Most mascaras promise length… then leave you with smudges, flakes, and clumps by lunchtime.
That’s why so many 50+ women are switching to PrimeLash.
It’s a tubing mascara designed for your lashes, wrapping each one to lift, define, and separate...even the ones that might be too small to see.
And when it’s time to take PrimeLash off? It slides right off with warm water. No rubbing or irritation.
From everyday black to soft brown, plus bold shades like Emerald, Burgundy, and Mulberry… there’s a color for every kind of day.
Get longer-looking lashes with zero smudge. Finally.
