What to Know About Women’s Basketball Today
1. TCU Goes Back-to-Back in the Big 12 🏆
The “Underfrogs” have done it. Again. TCU clinched its second straight Big 12 regular season title on Wednesday with an 83–70 win over Cincinnati. (KVUE)
WHY IT MATTERS: Three years ago, TCU finished dead last in the Big 12 with a 1–17 conference record. Then they hired Mark Campbell, and everything changed. This is one of the fastest turnarounds in the country, and the once-nicknamed “Underfrogs” are now sitting at the top of the Big 12.

2. UCLA Gets the Spotlight 🎥
FOX Sports is debuting a new one-hour documentary called You See LA, centered on the UCLA women’s basketball program. It premieres this Sunday, March 1 at 8:00 PM ET on FS1, right after the UCLA vs. USC game. (Fox Sports)
WHY IT MATTERS: UCLA is currently ranked No. 2 and has been one of the top programs in the country. But West Coast teams don’t always get the same national shine. This documentary gives us a behind-the-scenes look at the Bruins, their talent, and their culture on a big stage.

3. Dallas Wings Facility Takes a New Step Forward 🗳️
Some progress is better than no progress. The Dallas City Council voted Wednesday to move a resolution to committee that would transfer control of the new Dallas Wings practice facility directly to the team. (No Cap Space)
WHY IT MATTERS: Right now, the city oversees the project, and construction still hasn’t started despite a planned Spring 2026 opening. The groundbreaking ceremony happened last September, but the city’s developer has stalled.
The Wings need this facility to meet league standards and keep pace with the rest of the WNBA. If the team gains control of development, it gives them a real chance to salvage the timeline and get something built this year. Opening by Spring is out of the question, but this is a necessary step in a process that has felt stuck at a critical moment for the organization.
