What to Know About Womenâs Basketball Today
1. Toronto Tempo Sell Out First-Ever Preseason Game đ¨đŚ
They didnât get the win, but the Toronto Tempoâs first-ever preseason game was still a success. The team packed Coca-Cola Coliseum with 8,210 fans for their debut on Wednesday, with tickets selling out weeks in advance. (CBC)
WHY IT MATTERS: Toronto already showed up in a big way when the WNBA brought a preseason game to the city in 2023, drawing more than 19,000 fans. Thatâs why the league felt confident putting a team here. They targeted markets where ownership would invest and fans would show up, and Toronto is doing both right away. A sellout this early is a strong sign the league got this one right.

2. Final Preseason Weekend Is Here âł
Weâve reached the last weekend of WNBA preseason games before the regular season tips off on May 8. A couple games to keep an eye on: Mystics vs. Dream (Sunday, 3:00 PM ET) and Aces vs. Wings (Sunday, 7:00 PM ET), both on WNBA League Pass.
WHY IT MATTERS: This is the final competitive tune-up before games start counting. Itâs also your last look at some of these players. After this weekend, teams have to cut down to 12 active players and 2 developmental spots. That means tough decisions are coming, and some familiar names may not make it through.

3. Cuts Pick Up Across the League âď¸
Speaking of tough decisions, Thursday was one of the hardest days of the preseason so far, with more than 15 players waived as teams move closer to final rosters. (Yahoo Sports)
WHY IT MATTERS: This is the reality of how competitive the WNBA is. Thereâs only one week left before the season starts, and front offices are making hard calls on who stays and who goes. Every year, talented players get cut simply because there arenât enough spots.

The Key to Better aging: More NAD+
Most skincare works on the surface. Aramore goes where real aging begins: the basal layer of the skin, where new cells form. Backed by decades of research from Harvard and MIT scientists, Aramore is the first topical system designed to support skinâs NAD+ â the molecule your cells rely on for repair, energy, and resilience.
As NAD+ naturally declines with age, visible changes follow: dullness, uneven tone, fine lines, and loss of firmness. Aramoreâs unique complex of NAD+ precursors, ketones, and fatty acids helps replenish cells at the source for skin that acts healthier and younger.
Clinically shown to improve tone, radiance, smoothness, and firmness as soon as 28 days.
OVERTIME âąď¸
Storm Surge: Flauâjae Johnson says sheâs planning to have Sue Bird sign their viral photo from her preseason game in Seattle.
Bruins Reunite: UCLA champs Kiki Rice, Charisse Leger-Walker, and Gianna Kneepkens shared the floor again in a recent preseason game.
đłď¸ Poll Results from Yesterday: With French pro Justine Loubens heading to South Carolina, we asked if this could open the door for more international pros in college hoops. Most of you think so. 58% said âprobably,â at least until the amateur rules get sorted out.
