What to Know About Women’s Basketball Today
1. Chelsea Gray Wins Unrivaled 1v1 Tournament 👑
Chelsea Gray defeated Allisha Gray in a best-of-three Finals to win Unrivaled’s 1v1 Tournament, taking home $200,000 for the title. The matchup went to three games and was intense from start to finish. (Yahoo Sports)
WHY IT MATTERS: Unrivaled’s 1v1 format gives us something we almost never see. The best of the best with no screens and no help defense Just skill and heart. The Chelsea-Allisha Finals felt personal in the best way. Every bucket mattered. It was high-level basketball, and you could feel how much both players wanted it.
🗳️ After that 1v1 showdown, what should Unrivaled add next?

2. Breanna Stewart Heads Back to Fenerbahçe 🇹🇷
Breanna Stewart has signed with Turkish powerhouse Fenerbahçe for the 2026 EuroLeague Women Final Six (April 15–19). She’s joining the club specifically for its playoff run. (USA Today)
WHY IT MATTERS: This is a major international move, and the timing makes it even more interesting. Stewart helped Fenerbahçe win a Turkish League title in 2023 and earned EuroLeague Final Four MVP honors that season. Now she’s returning late in the year for another title push.
Her calendar is packed. She’s currently playing in Unrivaled, the 3-on-3 league she co-founded with Napheesa Collier. That wraps in early March, then she heads to a USA Basketball camp before flying overseas. If the WNBA season tips off on time, she’ll be back for training camp. It’s going to be a busy couple of months.

3. Dawn Staley Earns 500th Win at South Carolina 👏
Dawn Staley secured her 500th win at South Carolina in her 18th season leading the Gamecocks. (Forbes)
WHY IT MATTERS: Staley arrived in Columbia and steadily built South Carolina into one of the premier programs in the country. She’s the program’s all-time winningest coach, has helped bring three national championships to the school, and holds an .817 winning percentage there. She now ranks fourth all-time among head coaches in NCAA titles. The 500th win is impressive, but it really speaks to the consistency and culture she’s built over nearly two decades.
