WHY IT MATTERS: We haven’t seen a true bracket-buster yet, but there’s still been some movement. The No. 1 seeds UConn, UCLA, South Carolina, and Texas are all still standing, but teams like Tennessee, NC State, Iowa State, and Georgia, who were ranked at different points this season, are already out. By the end of tonight, the field shrinks again, and the path to the Final Four starts to come into focus.

2. Denison Caps Historic Season with First National DIII Title 🏆
Denison University took down previously unbeaten Scranton 55-41 to win the Division III national championship, finishing the season 30-2. (Denison Athletics)
WHY IT MATTERS: This is the first title in program history for Denison, and they earned it. The Big Red started the season unranked and then opened with 17 straight wins. After a semifinal loss in their conference tournament, they regrouped and took control of the NCAA Tournament, winning five of six games by double digits and beating two undefeated teams along the way. They closed the title game with a 14-0 run in the fourth quarter, and that was all they needed to finish it off.

3. Get Ready for a Wild WNBA Free Agency Period 😬
With the WNBA and players’ union agreeing to a new CBA, teams can finally move forward with building their rosters. And there’s a lot to figure out. A total of 77 players are hitting unrestricted free agency, and while the free agency period is not yet confirmed, it is sure to be a very small window of time. (Yahoo Sports)
WHY IT MATTERS: This could reshape the entire league. Many players planned ahead for this moment, structuring their contracts to hit free agency right as a new CBA took effect. The result is a huge class of available talent, including stars like A’ja Wilson, Breanna Stewart, Sabrina Ionescu, Alyssa Thomas, Jackie Young, and Napheesa Collier. There’s a strong chance a lot of teams will look very different by the time the season tips off.
