Happy Monday! ☀️
In case you missed our email last Friday, be sure to see a special note below from Kim, my 30 Second Timeout partner-in-crime, about her new special project that just launched. It’s unique, it’s fun, and it’s totally women’s hoops.
What to Know About Women’s Basketball Today
1. Aliyah Boston Lands Historic Extension 💰
Indiana is Boston’s state now. Aliyah Boston is signing a four-year, $6.3 million extension with the Indiana Fever, giving her the richest total contract in WNBA history. (Yahoo Sports)
WHY IT MATTERS: This is a major milestone for player compensation, and it locks in the 3-time All-Star as a cornerstone for Indiana. But it also creates a real roster puzzle after this season. With Boston set to take up 20% of the cap and Caitlin Clark due for a massive extension soon, the Fever are clearly building around two stars. The Fever front office will have the challenge of finding the right pieces, for a lower salary, to fill in around these two.

2. Fenerbahce Does It Again 🏆
The European hoops dynasty is celebrating again. Fenerbahce Opet is the 2026 EuroLeague Final Six champion, winning their third title in the last four years after beating rival Galatasaray Cagdas Faktoring 68-55. (FIBA)
WHY IT MATTERS: Fenerbahce is the team to beat in Europe right now. They consistently attract top WNBA talent, with their success breeding more success. Julie Allemand (Toronto Tempo) won MVP honors, finishing the championship game with a near triple-double, while her teammate Emma Meesseman added a historic seventh title to her resume.

3. WNBPA Partners With JPMorgan Chase 📖
With great money, come great responsibility. The WNBPA has announced a multi-year partnership with JPMorgan Chase to provide financial education and resources for players. (Sports Business Journal)
WHY IT MATTERS: The new CBA means that WNBA players now have the opportunity to make considerable wealth. This new initiative will deliver year-round financial education to all players, helping them navigate their new financial landscape. Most WNBA careers are short, and financial stability isn’t guaranteed, so giving players better tools to manage their money, plan ahead, and build long-term security is the the kind of off-court support that can change their lives well beyond basketball.
📫 A Monthly Snail Mail Club for Women’s Basketball Fans
Hey, Kim here.
I wanted to jump in quickly and thank everyone who’s already joined The Post-Up Club. It’s been really cool to see the first group come together.
I’ve been working on the first letter this weekend, and it’s been a different kind of writing. It’s slower and gives me more space to really think about what’s going on in women’s basketball.
If you ever feel like everything around the game moves too fast, this is meant to be a simple way to slow it down (and for us to connect).
The Post-Up Club is a monthly physical letter I’ll send out, along with a few small extras. It’s all centered around the players, moments, and stories that stay with you a little longer.
I’m starting with a group of 100 so I can keep this manageable from the beginning. The first letters go out May 1.
*If you sign up before the 25th, your first letter will arrive in May.
OVERTIME ⏱️

Tough Break: Las Vegas Aces guard Dana Evans is out indefinitely with a leg injury.
