1. Mitchell, Miles & Reese Reach New Heights đ
The final weekend of the regular season added three more names to the record book. Kelsey Mitchell set the single-season scoring record with 1,056 points and counting, Olivia Miles broke the rookie scoring record, and Angel Reese became the first player in WNBA history to grab 500 or more rebounds in a season. Mitchell joins Aâja Wilson as the only players to score 1,000 points in a season, while Miles has given the league-leading Lynx scoring and steady play at point guard as a rookie. Reese is quickly establishing herself as one of the best rebounders in WNBA history, becoming the first player to reach 500 rebounds in a season. She currently has 505 and counting, crushing the previous season record stood of 451.
2. Lisa Leslie Gets Her Statue đŤĄ
Lisa Leslie now has a permanent place outside Crypto.com Arena. The Sparks unveiled a statue of the franchise legend this past Sunday in Star Plaza. (ESPN)

WHY IT MATTERS: Leslie was there from the WNBAâs beginning and helped the Sparks win two championships while earning three MVP awards. As womenâs basketball grows, itâs great to see the players who built the league get this well-deserved permanent recognition. Leslie is just the second WNBA player honored with a statue by her franchise, following Sue Bird in Seattle last year.
3. Team USA Wins U23 3x3 Gold đĽ
Team USA went 6-0 on the court at the FIBA 3x3 U23 World Cup in Wuhan, China, finishing with a 15-10 win over Canada in the championship game. Itâs the second U23 World Cup title for the U.S. women. (USA Basketball)
WHY IT MATTERS: The U.S. women havenât dominated 3x3 the way they have 5-on-5, and USA Basketball is putting more structure behind the program with Elena Delle Donne overseeing it through the 2028 Olympics. Tournaments like this give young players international 3x3 experience now to build a deeper pool of players for future senior teams.
